Yeah, as someone else commented to my post yesterday, you really can't have it both ways- Rose can't be a Mary Sue and simultaneously, a horrible, flawed human being... but hate isn't particularly logical.

I think the flaws are often what make us love a character... but there's a serious double standard when it comes to men's flaws and women's flaws.
