DAVID BOWIE
David is a god... he was fucking AMAZING tonight... oh sweet Isis. My feet have not touched the ground since the moment he stepped on stage. I nearly reached the parinirvana tonight from Bowie Bliss. He looked amazing... he is so beautiful... dressed in a black suit... it was very hot, so after the first song, he stripped off the jacket and undid his tie... I was kind of hoping he'd take off more. I probably would have died of bliss if he did, though. He had a gorgeous white dress shirt that sort of gathered at the cuffs on... oh Isis he was gorgeous. They finally got the screens on about halfway through his set... when they did closeups on his face, I could see his beautiful mismatched eyes... and the expressions he made while singing... oh yesss... I could hardly decide whether to watch the screen or the stage... I had to keep switching.
His voice is so amazing... it's almost impossible to think he's in his mid-fifties... and his set was so good- a perfect combination of old classics and his new stuff. He opened with Life on Mars, one of my favorites from Hunky Dory, and he closed his encore with Ziggy Stardust (the title song from the album), which was perfect, seeing as Ziggy Stardust celebrates it's 30th anniversary this year. He did so many of my favorites... Ashes to Ashes, Heroes, I Would Be Your Slave, I'm Afraid of Americans... so much more. I'm going to burn a CD of the all songs so I can relieve it over and over again... I nearly swooned several times... Khalil practically had to hold me up sometimes... I screamed myself hoarse. At one point, in fact, a guy in the section of front of us turned around and gave me a grin and a thumbs up while I was screaming...
He was charming and in tune with the audience, he made jokes, he danced... tonight was the most amazing music experience I've ever had. The best concert I've ever been to... I want to see him again and again and again...
Moby was really good too... he closed the concert, and he was so cute... he was hyperactive, running all over the stage, singing, jumping around, playing bongoes, playing the guitar, doing dj stuff... he was wearing a t-shirt with the superman shield on it, saying Super Kid, and it fit perfectly. He was so cute and sweet... David Bowie is his favorite musician, and he was so adorable talking about how cool it was that he and David were playing in the same concert... he's so sincere and sweet... he did a great set too, playing a lot of 18 and Play, and some of his older stuff too... He did Porcelain and Southside and We Are All Made of Stars, and Extreme Ways... so many more. I only wish that he had brought David out and that the two of them had done at least one song together...
I am in Bowie Bliss land right now... who needs lovin'... I just need to close my eyes and see David and I am in more ecstacy than ever before...
