This is exactly why I need you to read The Dark Tower Series. There are so many people who treat the main female character like shit. I will admit that at first she's very annoying in the way she speaks but by the end of the novel you have a reason for that and by the end of the series you have an even better reason for it. Dear Lord..why do people have to SUCK so much on a regular basis???
