Oh man, I got the new Murder by Death album (Red of Tooth & Claw) earlier this week, and I am compelled to gush about it. So. Freaking. Awesome. Still a bit Johnny Cash, but also quite a lot of Nick Cave, and the occasional hint of a tango. Completely brilliant. They're swinging back through Boston in two weeks, and the roommates and I have got tickets to see them- and this time, they're headlining, and are not surrounded by hardcore bands. Should be amazing.
Speaking of the roommates, the intense Whovian TV viewing has brought up such deep, important questions as: "Who has the better 'fro- Tom Baker or Art Garfunkel". Thoughts?

Dylan rocks.
Aug. 23rd, 2003 01:17 pmWent to the Bob Dylan concert last night... bloody awesome. Dylan is still rocking out... I hope I have even half of that intensity when I'm in my sixties.
Set list:
1. Tombstone Blues
2. SeƱor (Tales Of Yankee Power)
3. Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum
4. It Ain't Me, Babe (acoustic)
5. Dignity
6. Highway 61 Revisited
7. This Wheel's On Fire
8. Most Likely You Go Your Way (And I'll Go Mine)
9. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue (acoustic)
10. High Water (For Charley Patton)
11. Moonlight
12. Honest With Me
13. Don't Think Twice, It's All Right (acoustic)
14. Summer Days
(encore)
15. Like A Rolling Stone
16. All Along The Watchtower
17. Tangled Up In Blue
Tangled Up in Blue and It's All Over Now, Baby Blue are two of my all time Dylan favorites... and he rocked out over all his newer stuff. I mean rocked out. The band was awesome, he was awesome... playing his guitar and harmonica (he was wearing a really tacky suit though...)
He barely talked at all, as usual, he just introduced his band... but he was a little more easygoing about doing so. Isis, oh Isis, Dylan rocks.
